PHARMACY FIRST SERVICE

The Pharmacy First service encourages patients to contact their local chemist for help with everyday health conditions, including common winter ailments. If necessary, pharmacists can refer patients to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

Pharmacists can offer advice and free treatment for a wide range of common conditions. 

These include:

• Common colds and sore throat

• The morning after pill

• Acne

• Athlete’s foot

• Diarrhoea

• Ear wax

• Groin area infection

• Haemorrhoids

• Head lice

• Mouth Ulcers

• Oral Thrush

• Vaginal Thrush

• Scabies

• Threadworms

• Verrucae
