Carrickmore Health Centre

COVID-19 and our services

Due to the ongoing COVID19 Coronavirus, the doctors of CARRICKMORE HEALTH CENTRE have changed their working arrangements SINCE March 2020  to protect patients and staff from accidental exposure to this viral infection.

To minimise cross-infection risk from Coronavirus we have implemented the following

*****The Practice is using a Telephone triage system. Please telephone 028 807 61242 and you will be guided on the correct telephone number to use for each request. -- DO NOT PRESENT TO RECEPTION WINDOW- REQUESTING A CALL BACK- THE RECEPTIONISTS ARE ONLY ABLE TO ACCEPT REQUESTS FOR TRIAGE CALLS VIA TELEPHONE - to make it equitable for everyone.

**** If you require GP care or assessment Monday to Friday---please phone between 8.30am and 10.30am  or UNTIL Capacity for that day is reached.  ONLY URGENT GP Care or assessment  should be phoned after 12noon.  ***

The Doctors and Nurses will deal with all Pre triaged appointments with FULL PPE and sanitising of rooms and equipment between every patient attending. The process takes much longer and is frustrating for all concerned but is outside our control and we appreciate your patience during this challenging time.

JUNE 2022

We are now offering an ONLINE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ORDERING SERVICE- Please telephone the Practice on 028 807 61242 between 10am and 12.30pm or 2pm and 4pm - Monday to Friday to register for this service.

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Get Well, Keep Well

Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

The health centre is a single storey building and provides easy access for disabled or elderly patients. There are 2 disabled parking spaces at the front of the health centre. A toilet suitable for wheelchair access is also available.

Letters of Support

We no longer do "letters of support".

The reasons for this are:

  •                            There is no need
  •                            There is no advantage
  •                            GPs workload does not allow for them
  •                            The contract under which GPs work, means they are under no obligation at all                               regards such requests.

We understand some may be disappointed with this. Nonetheless it is an ESSENTIAL move to ensure we continue to meet our primary function
